Sundance Burke is a graduate of the University of Washington and the Gonzaga School of Law. While traveling for business in 1982, he experienced a profound spiritual awakening that fundamentally dissolved his concept of self. His first two teachers were Satoshi (Osho) and Sunyata, named the Rare Born Mystic by his friend, Ramana Maharshi. In 1988, he met Katie Davis, who had similarly experienced the miracle of Self-liberaton.

Katie Davis spontaneously awakened twenty-two years ago, without spiritual practices or teachers. She had never heard of awakening and had never been a seeker of Truth. In fact, she had no intellectual reference whatsoever for what had occurred. A graduate of the University of Washington, former secondary school educator, businesswoman and mother of two, she simply radically awakened from the daytime dream of concepts, beliefs and form to fall into the reality of who we really are. Katie devoted the following years integrating that spiritual realization.

Sundance and Katie became close friends with Eckhart Tolle in 1998, traveled with him and worked in his offices. He encouraged them to teach and write. Since 1999, Sundance and Katie have been traveling to offer non-dual, Advaita satsang, intensives and retreats with their timeless message of conscious freedom and causeless joy.
Sundance Burke is author of Free Spirit: A Guide to Enlightened Being and Katie Davis is author of Awake Joy: The Essence of Enlightenment. As husband and wife, they wrote their books with their desks side by side on the beautiful island of Maui.
